It is time to share…
Sometimes growing something takes a long time. I have thought about this project for (literally) years, restarted it five times, tortured my printer with five million questions (thank you@Catprint), reprinted the test print twice, shared with a few close advisors (you know who you are!), and finally, FINALLY have something I am really proud of.
I remember in the later years of my mom’s life she was always asking (no matter how bad my day was), “But what are you grateful for?” As someone seeking sympathy, I didn’t always appreciate this question. She was asking me to see the good in some really dark times. Times that sometimes the light was so darn dim. But as I have aged, I truly see the wisdom there, (thanks, Mama!)
Take that a step further, and I (after much research) have recognized that sometimes I have difficult moments, but that doesn’t mean I have a whole bad day or even a bad life. Science proves that positive thinking not only changes your outlook but also your experience. If nearly 95% of our thoughts are repetitive, I believe it is important to plant some good thoughts, and good seeds and encourage them to grow and bloom.
That said, allow me to share my heart project.
I have created a deck of 52 affirmation cards. Each card has a piece of my art and a simple affirmation on it. If you choose to focus on this card, it will last one whole year!
They have been created to empower you and help you to find your best self. They are part of self-care (which by the way is not a luxury, but essential) They are an attempt to help you fill your cup!
The preview of these cards will be available in my studio (349 West Commercial Street, Suite #2795, studio #12) tomorrow night November 2nd, 2023 from 4-8 pm. I will have decks available, as well as a sample deck so you can see a fun preview!
I feel not only pride in this project, but also gratitude. I look forward to sharing with you!
